Attention:Callista and I (Rayna) went to a meeting at Northeastern University today to discuss the actions of IndyMedia at the senior graduation in response to the presence of Phelps and his 'supporters'. We couldn't dissuade the group from planning a protest of some kind, because they were adamant about showing support for the GLBTQSA community at Brookline high, and especially for any graduating GLBTQ seniors. After some intense debate we decided that the best course of action would be to protect the graduation and the highschool by blocking Phelps' protesters and his general message without forcing our own, or turning it into a political event. We are trying to organize A... Little get together outside of BHS at about 4 on Wednesday afternoon (June 1st) to create a GIANT banner, decorated with "congratulations seniors" along with rainbows, and whatever else we want to paint on the canvas provided. We plan to block Phelps and his signs from view with our own banner, detracting from his message without detracting from the graduation itself. There will probably (knowing our school and the gay community of Boston in general) be music, dancing, food, and general merriment. We are trying to get as big a turnout as possible, so invite EVERYONE you know who would be willing to contribute to our little art project. Seniors, family, friends, anyone who's interested in attending is welcome. Hopefully the college kids will pull together a nice following; we hope it will be a lot of fun to make, and effective in its purpose. COME. AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS.

The Day of Silence

Thats right kiddies, its tomorrow. I personally won't be participating, I'm gonna start a new trend and be a spokesperson for the day, because I cannot sit through another class and not be able to talk about WHY the GSA has a day of silence. So, basically, Im'a be pimpin' this almighty day of gay. But I expect you all to at least be supporting, ya hear?

Ok, I really have nothing to say, but somehow I got on the Democratic National Commitee email list (which is odd because of how republican I am....NOT (( oh snap, you got shut DOWNnnnnnn))) and they sent me a website that if I wasn't consumed with ADHD at the moment, I would peruse, but I am, so I wont.I'm not saying a word about how DNC is almost DMC, as in Run: DMC which was that rap group that wrote "Its Tricky to rock a rhyme".
I will only say this: we democrats, we be playas. No no, make that playaZ.

So to steal information from raya's BEAUTIFUL site, We are starting training to go into elementary schools this upcoming Monday, and if you want to be cool you best not miss that.and ONCE AGAIN,
BAGLY Halloween dance is on Saturday, October 30th 7-11p.m. More spicifically, for $5 in the Emmanuel Church on 15 Newbury Street [take the green line to Arlington]. If your parents arent gung ho, tell them it is chaperoned and it is held by a youth group, because that is all indeed true! We'll all see you there!

Aloha from 235. We had a lot of new people this week, and I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome them (again) to the family. We have a lot of goals for this year, there will be more rallies to come, and hopefully we will reestablish the ISGSA. BAGLY is coming up on the 30th for those of you who don't know, and as always it will be a night to remember. It' s 7-11 PM, at the Emmanual Church, AKA 15 Newbury St. If you don't know the way you can most definitely come with one of the GSA gang who does, or ask someone more knowledgeable than me for directions. Eventually, there will be directions here, but for now you will just have to wait and worry. See you all there!------
